Celtic Penannular Broaches, Kilt Pins, Belt Buckles, Necklaces.

Bootleg Studios has acquired the Celtic Treasures line of jewelry.

These fine pieces were made by a jeweler friend of ours in Providence RI and have previously been marketed only at King Richard's Faire.

Each piece features finely detailed Celtic knot work, swirls, and patterns.

The penannular broaches are copies of ancient Celtic relics from grave finds in England, Ireland, and Scotland. The Tara Broach from Ireland is the most famous example. The Dragon (or Serpent) Broach and the Eagle Talon Broach are copies of ancient Scottish artifacts.

The Sutton Hoo belt buckle is likewise a copy of an ancient buckle (c. 625A.D.) found in Woodbridge in Suffolk, England. The original was made in solid gold, while our reproduction is in Pewter with 14k Gold or Silver plate. (also available in solid Bronze as special order - inquire as to price and availability).

Most items are cast pewter (white metal) with or without plating as indicated in individual descriptions.

A few items are cast bronze or Sterling Silver as indicated. These items are of course more expensive than the pewter models.

The Large Broaches have only the Large Pin which is detachable, and are specifically designed for the Scottish Great Kilt (Breacan-an-Fheille). The Medium and Small Broaches have both a large detachable pin plus a clasp pin on the back for fastening to any garment. These lesser sizes are exact copies of the large ones with full detailed engraving. These make excellent hat badges and kilt pins in their own right as well as making beautiful Ladies broaches.

Belt buckles fit standard  1.75" (one and three quarter inch) belts which accept replacement buckles. All 10MM leather belts are designed to fit all belt buckles on this page. Also available are leather mini-belts which turn any belt buckle into a heavy-duty cloak clasp. See leather goods page.

Solid Gold or Silver castings can be custom made for you. Price and availability by request. A significant down payment would also be required.
